What type of clothing do you wear for a beach session?
Solid clothing does so much better for beach pictures. White shirts and khaki shorts or pants are the #1 choice. White shirts and jeans come in a close second. Prints ands plaids tend to take away from the faces of those you love.

What is the best way to get the best pictures of small children?
Make sure that they have had a nap prior to the shoot. Most beach sessions are done around the golden hour when the sun is going down. They definitely do better if they have had some down time before pictures.

Why are beach pictures shot later in the day?
Beach portraits look better when the sun is not blazing down on the subjects. If the sun is too high, all you get is very squinty eyes. You want a nice soft glow on your pictures. Usually the best time during the summer is around 7:00 pm.
